Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 20 July 2026

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website alacam.it and the PrintPilot desktop software (together, the "Service"), provided by Alacam IT, a sole proprietorship ("Alacam IT", "we", "us"). By creating an account, installing the software, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who you are contracting with

The Service is provided by Alacam IT. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation. If you are using it as an individual, you confirm that you are of legal age to enter into a contract.

2. Acceptance of the Terms

Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of these Terms and of our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.

3. The Service

PrintPilot is a desktop utility that captures a print job on the user's own computer, converts it to PDF, and sends it as an email attachment to recipient addresses configured by the user. Features and plans (Free trial, Freemium, Personal, Team, Business, Enterprise) are described on the website and may evolve over time.

4. Your account and credentials

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials and license key confidential and for all activity that happens under your account. You agree to provide accurate account information and to keep it up to date.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive (including spam or unsolicited email);
  • infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any person;
  • interfere with the security or integrity of the Service, including probing, scanning, scraping, or introducing malware;
  • attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or circumvent the technical limits of the Service, except where such restriction is prohibited by law;
  • resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service or license keys without our written consent;
  • use the Service to send content that is illegal, harmful, or violates a third party's rights.

6. Licence

Subject to these Terms and payment of any applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to install and use PrintPilot and the associated services within the plan you have subscribed to, for your own internal business or personal use.

7. Intellectual property

Alacam IT retains all right, title, and interest in and to the Service, including the software, documentation, branding, and any improvements or derivative works. No rights are granted to you other than the limited licence described above. Content you send through PrintPilot (documents, email content) remains yours; you grant us only the limited rights necessary to operate the Service on your behalf.

8. Payments, subscriptions and Merchant of Record

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and renewal mechanics are governed by Paddle's Checkout Buyer Terms. Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle until cancelled. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time via the customer portal linked from your purchase receipt or by contacting us.

9. Refunds

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. See our Refund Policy for details on how to request a refund via Paddle.

10. Service availability

We work hard to keep the Service reliable, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from delays. The Service is provided "as is" and, to the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay applicable fees, create a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly or seriously violate our policies. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from the dashboard.

12. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Alacam IT will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Service is limited to the fees you paid to Paddle for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded (for example, fraud, or death or personal injury caused by negligence).

13. Your indemnity

You will indemnify and hold Alacam IT harmless against claims arising out of your content, your unlawful use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.

14. Force majeure

Neither party is liable for failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including internet outages, denial-of-service attacks, or acts of government.

15. Assignment

You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the seller's jurisdiction of establishment. Any disputes will be brought before the competent courts of that jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rights available to you where you live.

17. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the website or by email. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
