PrintPilot: Stille en Massa-implementatie

Leer hoe u PrintPilot op meerdere computers in een bedrijfsomgeving implementeert met behulp van stille MSI-installatie en Active Directory Group Policy (GPO).

1. Stille installatie via opdrachtregel

U kunt PrintPilot stil installeren zonder gebruikersinteractie met de standaard Windows Installer (msiexec). Dit is ideaal voor scriptgebaseerde implementaties of RMM-tools.

  • /i: Installeert het pakket.
  • /qn: Geen gebruikersinterface (stille modus).
  • /norestart: Voorkomt een automatische herstart na de installatie.

2. Accounts en licenties vooraf configureren

Om te voorkomen dat gebruikers hun accounts handmatig moeten koppelen op elk apparaat, kunt u een setup.ini-bestand maken en dit naast het PrintPilot MSI-installatieprogramma plaatsen.

Tijdens de stille installatie zal de MSI automatisch dit setup.ini-bestand lezen, zich verifiëren met uw Alacam IT-account en de routeringsregels ophalen zonder dat een handmatige aanmelding vereist is.

3. Massa-implementatie via Active Directory GPO

Voor grote netwerken is de distributie van PrintPilot via Active Directory Group Policy Objects (GPO) de meest efficiënte methode.

  1. Zet het PrintPilot MSI-installatiepakket in een gedeelde netwerkmap met leesrechten voor "Domain Computers" (domeincomputers).
  2. Open de console Groepsbeleidsbeheer (GPMC) op je domeincontroller.
  3. Maak een nieuw GPO aan (bijvoorbeeld "Deploy PrintPilot") en koppel het aan de gewenste organisatie-eenheid (OU).
  4. Bewerk het GPO en ga naar Computer Configuration > Policies > Software Settings > Software installation.
  5. Klik met de rechtermuisknop, kies New > Package en verwijs naar het gedeelde MSI-bestand via een UNC-pad (bijvoorbeeld \\server\share\PrintPilot_Setup.msi).
  6. Kies Assigned (Toegewezen) als implementatiemethode.

Let op: Aangezien het installatieprogramma leest uit setup.ini in dezelfde map, hoeft u er bij distributie via GPO alleen maar voor te zorgen dat het setup.ini-bestand in dezelfde gedeelde netwerkmap wordt geplaatst als het MSI-pakket.
